You may have heard the terms Realtor & Real Estate Agent thinking it may be the same, however, they are not the same.

Not every real estate agent is a Realtor®. Both must be licensed to sell real estate, but there are some important distinctions.

Realtor® is a professional in the real estate industry who is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). It is a federally registered membership mark. Real estate agents and brokers are just some of the professionals who can join the organization. Property managers and real estate appraisers can also join, among other professions. All members of the NAR pledge to abide by the standards and code of ethics of NAR.

Realtor® must subscribe to the Realtor® Code of Ethics, and not only that realtors must attend state-approved education courses. A Realtor® must meet all these standards, but must additionally pass a course on the NAR Code of Ethics and every four years thereafter to maintain certification. REALTORS continuously and religiously are up to date with the latest trends to full fill the client's needs.

As you see, NOT all Real Estate Agents are Realtor®.  If you're looking for a Realtor® in Florida. I serve Vero Brach, Sebastian, Palm Bay, Micco, Wabasso, Orchid Island, Melbourne, Fort Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, and surrounding areas, It will be my pleasure in serving you by helping you house hunting, sell your home, or Invest.
